This week delighted to be joined by Stephanie Cairns.

Stephanie is chair for the Northumberland and Tyne & Wear Local Optical Committees (LOCs).

LOCs were formed to be the official representatives for all GOS (General Ophthalmic Services) contractors and practitioners within their area and to work with their local CCGs on matters relating to NHS optical services. A well-run LOC is a major asset to the local optical community, NHS and local authorities and the public alike.

Stephanie goes into depth the advantages of being a member of your local LOC and what doors it can open for opticians, dispensing opticians and Locums.
